وَٱلشَّمۡسِ وَضُحَٮٰهَا (١) وَٱلۡقَمَرِ إِذَا تَلَٮٰهَا (٢) وَٱلنَّہَارِ إِذَا جَلَّٮٰهَا (٣)
By the Sun and its radiance (1) And [by] the moon when it follows it (2) and daylight which shines resplendent from it (3). (91:1-3)
Correlating Hadith
[Imam] al-Sadiq said: "'The Sun' [is a reference to] the Messenger of Allah by whom Allah, Mighty and Majestic, clarified for the people their religion. 'And the moon when it follows it' [91:2] is the Commander of the Faithful [Imam Ali] following the Messenger of Allah and emitting the knowledge by an emission." [About the verse] 'And daylight which shines resplendent from it' [91:3], he [al-Sadiq] said: "That [verse is a reference to] the Imams from the descendants of [Sayyida] Fatima. Whenever asked about the religion of the Messenger of Allah, they [the Imams] clarify it for the one who has asked [from them]. So Allah has narrated in His Saying: 'and daylight which shines resplendent from it' [91:3].”
الصّادق (علیه السلام)-الشَّمْسُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (صلی الله علیه و آله) بِهِ أَوْضَحَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ‌وَ‌جَلَّ لِلنَّاسِ دِینَهُمْ. الْقَمَرِ إِذا تَلاها قَالَ ذَاكَ أَمِیرُ‌الْمُؤْمِنِینَ (علیه السلام) تَلَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ (صلی الله علیه و آله) وَ نَفَثَهُ بِالْعِلْمِ نَفْثا. وَ النَّهارِ إِذا جَلَّاها قَالَ ذَلِكَ الْإِمَامُ مِنْ ذُرِّیَّةِْ فَاطِمَةَْ (سلام الله علیها) یُسْأَلُ عَنْ دِینِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ (صلی الله علیه و آله) فَیُجَلِّیهِ لِمَنْ سَأَلَهُ فَحَکَی اللَّهُ عَزَّ‌وَ‌جَلَّ قَوْلَهُ فَقَالَ وَ النَّهارِ إِذا جَلَّاها
