رَبُّ ٱلۡمَشۡرِقَيۡنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلۡمَغۡرِبَيۡنِ (٥٥:١٧)
The Lord of the two Easts [sunrises] and The Lord of the two Wests [sunsets] (55:17).
Correlating Hadith
Imam al-Sadiq [when asked about the verse] said: "The two Easts are the Messenger of Allah and the Commander of the Faithful [Imam Ali], and the two Wests are [Imam] Hasan and [Imam] Hussain."
امام الصادق: رَبُّ الْمَشْرِقَیْنِ وَ رَبُّ الْمَغْرِبَیْنِ، قَالَ الْمَشْرِقَیْنِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ (صلی الله علیه و آله) وَ أَمِیرُ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ (علیه السلام) وَ الْمَغْرِبَیْنِ الْحَسَنُ وَ الْحُسَیْنُ (علیها السلام)
