Abdullah bin Zubair advised [Imam] Hussain to “come to Mecca and seek refuge in the Holy Sanctuary,” [but] Hussain said, “Neither do we consider it lawful nor should you do so for us. [Indeed] I prefer to be killed on a hill of red earth than be killed in [the Holy Sanctuary].”
و عنهما عن سعد عن محمد بن الحسين عن صفوان بن يحيي عن داود بن فرقد عن ابي عبد الله ع قال قال عبد الله بن الزبير للحسين ع و لو جئت الي مكة فكنت بالحرم فقال الحسين ع لا نستحلها و لا تستحل بنا و لان اقتل علي تل اعفر احب الي من ان اقتل بها
